Milonguero
European Tour 2013
Fabián Carbone Tango Ensemble brings to life the history of the River Plate region with a sonority as intimate as tanguística. The piano, the violin and the bandoneón, that are the bases of the typical orchestra, and unavoidable accomplices of the art of playing tango, introduce us to the Buenos Aires of the 20th century, where tango has developed to a level that allows it to be experienced by the audiences and venues of the whole world.

The fusion between the popular and the classic is present in his concerts where they play tango classics as El Choclo, Volver or La Cumparsita with Astor Piazzolla's music, which also takes elements of Bach, Stravinsky, Bartok and even some elements of jazz. In 2006 the project was initiated in order to recover the artistic inheritance of the golden decade of the Tango, during the 1940s when tango reached an interpretive maturity.

Carbone is recognized as one of the best bandoneón soloist based in Europe. With an extensive career, he studied tango composition attending classes with Rodolfo Mederos,. He has played in many international tango and contemporary music festivals and plays regularly as soloist in tango in some of the best meetings and milongas in Europe.

The history of Tango is fascinating and complex. The evolution of the dance has profound implications for the way we dance today, and Tango music has become one of the great World Music genres. The Fabian Carbone Tango Ensemble perform the story of dance, from its earliest stages, through to its worldwide success; from the Golden Age during the mid 1930s until the coup in Argentina in 1955, when the dark ages pushed Tango underground and was persecuted, up until the fabulous Tango renaissance which has, once again, spread the dance all over the world. An overview of the history of the music that will show us its evolution and the influences that formed it.

With this great concert you can dance to the classic pieces including those by Julian Plaza, Pugliese, Matos Rodriguez, Arolas, and a host of others. Or sit back and relax and listen to the melancholia of Piazzolla and Mederos.
