Ainhoa Arteta
Dos divas y un barítono
After many years since they coincided at the Berlin Opera, two of the most international voices of Spanish opera meet again in a beautiful recital with the Zamoran baritone Luis Santana and the pianist Javier Carmena. Ainhoa Arteta and Montserrat Martí Caballé offer us in “Two divas and a baritone” a wonderful program with fragments of opera and zarzuela of various composers; three of them taken from Verdi's La Traviata and works by Donizetti, Rossini, Mozart, Obradors, Falla, Penella, Giménez, Serrano and Torroba.
The reunion between both artists will take place in January 2023 at the Festival Internacional de Música Clásica Jesús López Cobos by Santana, where the public attending the concert will be able to enjoy not only privileged voices, but also duets that “will touch our soul and the deepest part of our being”.
Ainhoa Arteta is one of the most renowned sopranos in the world. She has sung in the best theaters in the world, however, her Spanish DNA has never left her. This is reflected in her voice, full of emotion and intensity. Ainhoa has not only achieved technical excellence, but has achieved something even more complicated: to touch the soul of the spectator in each song.
When she was only 5 years old, Ainhoa heard Maria Callas singing and, since then, she has been in love with opera. Her first steps in singing were in her father's Eresoinka Choir and at the age of 12 she entered the San Sebastian Conservatory. At the age of 18 she moved to Italy, where she received lessons from Ettore Campogalliani, teacher of Pavarotti and Freni. Years later, he moved to New York, where he continued his acting training at the Actor's Studio. Throughout her career Ainhoa has had valuable influences from some important teachers and mentors, especially highlighting the teacher Ruth Falcón, who was a reference for her during all these years. Currently, Ainhoa is still in constant training. |
